{"id":4404,"date":"2020-12-03T07:39:40","date_gmt":"2020-12-03T15:39:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.illusionsofgrandeur.com\/?p=4404"},"modified":"2023-07-28T13:25:05","modified_gmt":"2023-07-28T20:25:05","slug":"time-marches-on-and-so-do-we","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.illusionsofgrandeur.com\/staging\/9752\/time-marches-on-and-so-do-we\/","title":{"rendered":"Time Marches On and So Do We&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>To Our Dear Clients and Friends,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The last time I reached out with an update was the end of May.&nbsp; It is hard to believe that we are almost into December and still what seems to be an unending pandemic.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A lot has happened in that time.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Our Illusions family has had moments of celebration&#8230;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the birth of Leah Cabrera on June 19<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the birth of Hugo\u2019s nephew William Montes on April 3<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the birth of Lukas Byrne on Thanksgiving ~ Kris\u2019s nephew<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the graduation of Christian Durand from Carmel High<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the return to Cal Poly for Carlos Zarate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">We have shared moments of grief&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The slow and steady decline of mothers ~ Lezlie Johnson&#8217;s, Britta Arnold\u2019s and Kris\u2019s<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The saying good-bye (for now) to Andrew Bailey and Kayla Boughton<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The death of Moose ~ Britta\u2019s beloved dog<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The cancellation of a very well planned Bar Mitzvah ~ for Rizal Baguio<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It seems like it is always darkest before the dawn, as they say, and certainly there are glimmers of hope amidst this difficult time.&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Behind the scenes we have been working to upgrade our systems and inventory as well as update our website and other marketing materials.&nbsp; We have felt moments of \u201cnormalcy\u201d when we have the chance for a \u201csocially distanced\u201d outdoor lunch with friends and clients.&nbsp; We have started working on programs for 2021 which feels like a breath of fresh air.&nbsp; We are buoyed by our weekly Zoom meetings that keep us connected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And through it all we keep marching, one foot in front of the other, with hope for the future and a sincere wish to connect with all of you when the time feels right.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stay safe, stay well and we look forward to when we meet again.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kris<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To Our Dear Clients and Friends, The last time I reached out with an update was the end of May.&nbsp; It is hard to believe that we are almost into December and still what seems to be an unending pandemic.&nbsp; A lot has happened in that time.
